Description
Entecavir is an active substance similar to purine Nucleoside, this is a guanine derivative with anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) activity. When entering the body, the active ingredient Entecavir will be converted into the active substance, Entecavir triphosphate. This metabolite will compete with the substrate Deoxyguanosin triphosphate thereby inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme DNA polymerase of the human hepatitis B virus, providing the effect of blocking the stages of virus development. Active ingredient Entecavir is effective against even strains of hepatitis B virus that are resistant to Lamivudin.
