Eric is an eCommerce, category management & supply chain professional with over 11 years’ experience. His experience spans across various business sectors – stockbroking, e-commerce, composite retail and presently pharmaceutical retail. He has worked in several roles including equities & investment research, proprietary investment management, e-commerce, retail procurement, supply chain, and category management.
He began his career as a financial analyst at Nigeria’s foremost equity house, Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited, where he grew to manage the Equities Research & Capital Issues desks.
His passion for retail has taken him through several business spaces from NYSE listed and Nigeria’s largest online retailer, Jumia Nigeria, where he worked as a Senior Buyer managing several supplier & brand relationships to Nigeria’s first click and mortar retail chain, Konga, where as a Category Manager he led the team responsible for the launch of Yudala Fashion and Lifestyle platform, Yu-Fashion.
Before joining HealthPlus, he was previously Lead, Merchandise Planning & Strategy at Konga and was responsible for inventory optimization, omnichannel product strategy, merchandise selection, assortment planning, and distribution. He led the roll-out of branch planograms, and deployment of merchandise distribution and redistribution models for Konga brick and mortar stores driving the company’s omnichannel strategy across online and offline channels.
He is a Business Administration graduate of the University of Abuja, a certified member of the Nigerian Institute of Portfolio and Debt Management, PMI, and has attended several courses on Capital Market Operations, Category Management and Retail Analytics. He also holds a Business Analyst certificate from world-renowned retail-focused University, Babson College, United States.
